    VCIP 2026 Conference

The 2026 edition of the IEEE Visual Communications and Image Processing (VCIP) Conference will be held in Singapore during December 13–16, 2026.

Special sessions complement the regular program of VCIP 2026. They are intended to provide a sample of the state-of-the-art and to highlight important emerging research directions in fields of particular interest to VCIP participants. Each special session should be focused rather than broadly defined.

Proposal Format

The following information should be included in the proposal:

  1. Title of the proposed special session
  2. Names and affiliations of the organizers (including brief bio and contact info)
  3. Session abstract (including the motivation and significance of the topic, and the rationale for the proposed session)
  4. List of at least four papers (including a tentative title, author list and abstract for each paper)

In addition to invited papers, other authors are welcome to submit papers to Special Sessions. All submitted papers must conform to the format and length requirements of regular papers. If a Special Session receives more papers than anticipated, some papers may be reassigned to regular sessions of the conference.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the timeliness of the topic, its relevance to VCIP, the track record of the organizers, and the anticipated quality of papers in the proposed session. All papers submitted to Special Sessions will undergo the same peer-review process as regular submissions to ensure the highest quality of contributions.
